"16 bit Windows Subsystem" error message

Help.

I have a dual boot 98se/Win2kPro setup.

Last night, I was installing Visual Studio 6 into W2K and I ran into the above error message. It read:

"16 bit Windows Subsystem

System/currentcontrolsel/control/virtualdevidedriver.vdd virtual device driver format in the registry is invalid. Choose close and terminate application.

Instead of "close", I chose to "ignore" 😉 and continue on and now receive this same message over and over again.

anyone know what went wrong here? I thought 16 bit went out with win 3.1!

Thanks in advance.
