Hi,

What are the ramifications of disabling 16-bit DMA on your soundcard?

Thanks

Most SB type sound cards support both 8-bit and 16-bit audio. 8-bit defaults to DMA channel 1 and 16-bit defaults to DMA channel 5. If you disable 16-bit then you will not be able to play any 16-bit audio files.

Yeah, you'd think that would be the case, but I can still play 16-bit files fine. Oh well, disabling that fixed my soundcard problem.
