i like your case better but if you want the other one than by all means...
i think there were better suede ones out there anyway... but the wife doesn't want a suede case at all... I thought I had a nice find... if this turns out legit.

hey i do have to say that shipping was pretty cheap. I wanted to buy a sony cybershot case and the cost was 3 dollars but they wanted 10-12 for shipping.

Similar thing happened to me couple of weeks ago. If the seller refuses to make good on it (which what happened in my case) file a complaint with PP. Once PP got involved, all I had to do is ship the item back, (PP will keep watching the tracking number that you must provide) and as soon as it's delivered, they will give you a complete refund includsding shipping fees.

He has TONS of positive feedback, and it seems he sells lots of cases. That means he probably just shipped the wrong one, FWIW.

My question is... if I leave a neg feedback, he could leave one for me too right ? As unjustified as that seems, I don't want it to happen in the first place... would it be wiser to leave it after 90 days ?

The wise thing to do would be to move on and forget about the incident. Even if you leave him a negative, it leaves barely a dent in his rating. A negative to you will give you a huge impact though; enough to make sellers nervous and buyers not want to buy from you if you ever do sell.

This is precisely why the seller will continue to get away with ripping people off.

Get your money back. Put RETURN TO SENDER on the package and send it back. THat way you don't have to pay for return shipping. THen leave the guy negative feedback for willfully and purposefully trying to scam you.

The auction specifelly says "PICTURE OF ACTUAL PRODUCT" which it obviously isn't so he lied in the auction and tried to get you to co ver for him.

People like this are why so many people don't like eBay.

Just like the people that say "Not responsible for Items not sent with insurance". THen if you don't get insurance, they never send it, say they did, and blame the post office for losing your item then they just reauction it.

Buch of scammers.

After you get your $ make sure to leave negative feedback. He obviously tried to take you for a ride hoping you would accept the suede case. Regardless if what costs more, the auction was not valid since the product he was trying to sell wasn't actualy leather, not that it mattered because he didn't have it...

Don't wait until the last day, that's shady too. Explain your negative comment well.

i like the case you got better, but if you want the leather one shown in the auction, you should get it.

Go to the ebay secrurity center and report him, get ebay to help and make sure he gives you a refund. Threaten negative feedback.

The problem is that suede soaks up water and leather sheets it (for the most part). If you are looking for something to protect your camera from the elements suede is a bad choice.

I've sent it back to him with delivery confirmation. I'll eat the $.55 so long as I get my refund. I really need to stay off the Internet.

absolutely wait until the last day. otherwise the buyer will get a completely undeserved negative.

this guy checks his emails and actually responds everyday so he's pretty active. I looked up his negatives and it turns out he does indeed give retaliatory negatives after he gets them from buyers.

What I need to know is - is it 90 days from the minute where I won the auction ? I have the patience to do it in the 89th day and 23rd hour.

That's what you got essentially, a $20 case. If it fits and it works I wouldn't complain too much, you saved $10 over what Canon would've charged you. If he's willing to pay back $5 then jump on it and you saved $15.
no, that's not what I got. The suede fabric is unacceptable to us in terms of looks and feel. I will be ordering the PSC-90 - what you linked to (from eBay :shocked😉 for a total of $19 though. It is real leather. No substitute for the real thing and honestly, I should've gotten that in the first place. I tried to get too cute with "rare-r" stuff.
