wow you were rich in college. Milwaukees best and steel reserve 40's for me :(

I was gonna say...if you're going to drink shitty beer to get drunk, crack open the steel reserve and be done with it. Why waste your time and taste buds on piss water that won't even get you drunk?

in PA (where i went to college) they sell Bud Light Beer Balls (also called Party Balls), they are little mini kegs that hold 55 beers, they cost 22$

we would kill 2 of them every time + other random stuff

before we discovered them soph year we would just do 3x 30 racks of Keystone or cases of hurricanes

$300 for captain morgan? Is that the same rum you can buy at the store for $20?

Yes. It's actually a deal considering the cost of buying the equivalent amount of shots as there are in a bottle. Just highlights how much trendy nightclubs/bars mark up the cost of alcohol.

This is more about retarded egos...

In June 2011 Mark Cuban spent $90,000 on a 15 liter bottle (20 regular sized bottles) of Armand de Brignac in celebration of the the Dallas Mavericks' NBA Championship. A week later, the Boston Bruins "one-upped" the Mavericks' celebration by purchasing a 30 liter bottle of Ace of Spades "Midas" for $100,000. At the time of the purchases, the Midas bottle was one of six bottles in the world. wiki

Atleast Boston was thrifty...only $10k more for twice as much.

I wouldn't say Boston "one-upped" them. Cuban also bought 100 bottles of regular sized Ace of Spade at $1,200 each, so his total tab pretty much was out of control including tip. I mean I wouldn't say it's about "retarded egos" - he was out with his team celebrating winning a national championship and that's why his team loves him. He took them out for a celebration that they won't forget and paid for it all.

honestly though they really dropped the ball, they should have chartered a jet to vegas and dropped that loot at a vegas club. They would have been treated better than a single lousy comped bottle of champagne.

They had stuff to do in Boston still, couldn't fly out for Vegas just yet.

Why is posting high bar tabs the new thing? The Bruins have a payroll of like $60 million annual; who the fuck cares if a bunch of them blow some cash at a club?

I can only imagine that after reaching a specific blood alcohol level, that the type and cost of alcohol consumed becomes irrelevant. Even though they have the ability to do so, spending more on extravagant liquor seems frivolous and wasteful. To each his own though.

Bottle service is ridiculous. Did it once in vegas, never again. Yeah, yeah, 1200 bucks for 6 bottles of Absolut + mix.

I'd say that's a good deal...especially in Vegas. Nicer clubs/lounges in NYC/LA/Vegas you are paying $300 a bottle minimum but then again some of them don't serve Absolut, you are paying that for Goose.

IDK find a distributor that sells Bud and Bud light Party balls AKA Beer Balls

ive only seen them in PA, they have ass backwards laws and you can pretty much ONLY get beer at the distributor
They were $22.50 to be exact. You had to buy the Tap outright ~$10 and you kept it and just reused it

pretty sure i have pics at home

quick and lazy google says you should be able to call your local store and figure out where to get one. might not be that cheap anymore

Agreed.

Unless you've got like 20+ million in the bank I couldn't advise wasting money like that though (paying full bar prices / markups).

For similar or even much less $$ :

Rent several big fucking suites that connect, or rent a ballroom somewhere
Have some lackeys hit up the liquor stores and deliver a few dozen cases of goose, patron, cristal, etc.
Hell, hire a bunch of strippers, dancers, djs, and magicians if you want.

Paying a fuckton of markup on alcohol at bars = ??? to me, unless $$ literally is no object (Mark Cuban).
