Yeah, let me know how that citizens arrest thing works out for you when you decide to pull a cop over...

A citizens arrest is when you arrest another citizen that you witnessed breaking the law. You can't arrest cops (at least I don't think you can place a citizens arrest on one).

I wasn't saying I was pulling over a cop, I was just asking about it, since it kind of related to the subject

Emergency vehicles don't have to obey traffic laws. Feel free to try to arrest one of us sometime...you won't try to do it a second time.

They don't have to obey any traffic laws, even when sirens and flashers are off?
And Again, not quite understanding the fact that I'm not saying I'm trying to arrest a cop.

Sometimes police want to be inconspicuous. Not every call they get requires them to turn on flashers/sirens.

Oh, that makes sense

Tonight on my way home they rode right on my tail until they got a chance to pass and had to have been going 85-90 in the 55. Can they be pulled over by other cops? And what about this citizens arrest thing, what the heck is that?

I am curious. How old are you?
BTW, pull a cop over and part of your username will come true.

In some cases yes...like responding to a call. I'm sure if I called my local police department and asked if they need to follow traffic laws when not responding to a call they would tell me they never have to right?

And if you follow them, they usually end up in dunkin donuts or chinese takeout.

If you try to arrest a cop, you'd better do it at gunpoint, because most police officers are armed and dangerous.

It's great when they play games too. I used to have a couple of state cops up here that loved to harrass me for some reason. One night in particular, I was driving to work going about 70mph in a 65mph. Now, it's important to know I go to work @ 11pm. I see these two cars coming fast, and I can tell from their headlights they are Crown Vics, so I slow down to the posted limit of 65mph. They come up along side me and slow down and start looking over at me...they are both state troopers in marked cruisers.

At this point there is no other cars around because it was a Sunday night. Well, they must have been bored because one got in front of me, and the other got behind me and the trooper in front slowed down to 45mph. Keep in mind, it's a 65mph zone. After a few minutes of this crap, I put on my blinker to go into the left lane, and pass the one in front. The one in front immediately changes lanes to be back in front of me, and the one that was behind me get's up along side me. They stayed like that going 45mph until I was getting off that highway. They both drop in behind me when I get off the highway, stay behind me all the way into the parking lot where I work, and sit there while I park. I get out of my car and start walking toward one of the cars to ask WTF is up, and they both drive off.

It's all cool though because they are THE LAW.

Do all cops do stuff like this, no. The vast majority are nothing like this, but the ones like I dealt with are what give people a bad impression.

Then there was the time I was pulled over for a 45 minute long traffic stop, complete with 7 police cruisers, in which I never talked to the same cop twice, never was told why I was pulled over, and was given a ticket for the tach on my dash supposedly "impeding my view of the road".

Sounds to me like they've got nothing better to do with their time. Live in a low-crime area? As for the tach on the dash, lose the ricer accessory :p
