Depends ... if this is a company you plan to work for after you graduate then take the place you'll move to for good. If not, then pick the place that's doing the more work or has the bigger clients.

I'm personally from NorCal, love the weather, food, diverse set of people. There's SF if you like the night scene and Carmel if you like low key stuff. Don't know too much about seattle though 🙂

I live in San Jose, it's alright, nothing special. Seattle seems like it would be better, except you're already there so you might want something new.

i live in san jose and there are some cool areas and bad areas, just like any city. but the great thing is it is centrally located. you've got SF, Santa Cruz, Oakland, all within 1 hour. the mountains are ~3-4 hours away. you can get to LA in 4 hours... there are museums, car shows... they are talking about bringing a race here... forumla 1 or champ cars or something.

congrats on your offers!

I would personally say that if you have lived your life in seattle, venture out and live in a new place, internships are a great way to stretch your legs and experience a new city. San Jose is a realtivly nice area and during the summer you can visit san fran and drive down to vegas or LA or san diego.

take it from a person who has lived in both states, washington is nice but california is awesome.

:music: "i love cali like i love women" :music:

PS: This is all assuming the jobs are relativly the same and your responsibilities would be nearly the same in scope.

If I lived in Seattle I might take the San Jose job just for a change of scenery. That said, I grew up 20 miles from San Jose, so personally I might take the Seattle job because I've never been there and it seems like a cool city. Northern California is awesome too, though, I've lived here my whole life, and it's my favorite place in the world.

As far as I understand it the responsibilities will be about the same - however, I am under the impression that interns will be worked about the same amount as associates in San Jose - so, 50 hours a week or so, whereas in Seattle it sounds like it would be a rare thing to go over 40.

You live in seattle right? So if you took the job there you would save some relocation hassle and probably some money?

Yes, that's one of the big factors I'm considering.

you might have a problem finding housing, see if they can help you out, or else check out craigslist.
