1536mb sdram ddr 266 in a asus a7v266-e getting a blank screen @ start up?

I bought a pc w/ 2-512mb 266 sdram ddr hi perf, I added one more to max out. I put it in correctly. Is there any thing else I'm saposto do? In the bios? Its giving me a blank screen at start up.🙁 The original ram was from mushkin, the new one is from crucial. They do look different. If I restart at the blank screen I do start up it gives me some start up glitches like a couple refresh snaps. It does recognize the ram at 1536mb. It just acts strange. 😕
 
try general hardware, motherboards, or tech support forums. please read the forum notes before posting in HT
 
try the system with just the crucial and see if you have the same problem. if not, put one stick of the other in. if that works try all of them again....

or you can just try reseating all of them. I have crucial in my machine now and it works fine... I had tried some others and it didn't work initially... I could only get the crucial to work. I have the same motherboard.
