The sheer number, detail, and multiple angles of the pics you took should prove enough.

But I guess some people like to play dumb. ;)

Anybody get seriously hurt? If so, you can probably sell the pics to the local paper.

You need to learn how to take pictures. Almost all those pics are underexposed and blurry.

Was just about to post this. Was that the NJ state patrol? Remind me never to apply to work there. :)

Paterson, NJ. Those cops are awesome. I love watching the COPS eps where they're riding along with that one dude up there.

Thanks for your advice.

Its kind of hard to take pictures with all the cops around and you are trying to be discrete. Since 9/11 they are really uptight about people taking pictures of cops and things around these parts.

FWIW, even at ISO 800, I couldn't do much with a slow f/5.6 lens. The shutter was like 1/30 sec. Underexposed and blurry? Well, I really couldn't help it. Give me better conditions other than an underpass and shade and a slow lens and I'll do better.

How is it illegal to take pictures of a [public] roadway, even if there happens to be an accident or whatnot? If the cops questioned me, I'd say, hey, its a public roadway, and the "accident" was in obvious plain view of the public. They cannot take the camera away from you, or can they?

With a recent 8MP DSLR (Canon 20D?), you should be able to use ISO 1600 with no problem.

And since the EXIF was stripped, it's obvious the pics have passed through an editing program of some sort, so why the hell didn't you resize them?

They might not like it but they can't do a damn thing about it. There is no law saying that you can't take pictures of cops. They might give you dirty looks, sure- you can't expect them to all smile and say "cheese".

Unless you are breaking a law, they're not going to mess with you.

Yes.

Since you guys would rather criticize me than enjoy the pics, why bother. I've got more important things to do than to explain myself.

Don't worry about it. I'm critical of myself also. I enjoyed the pics.
