I'm looking to put together a system that will be able to run on 150w.

I'm thinking of a 35 watt XP 2400+ Mobile w/ a Shuttle AN-35N.

Here's what I have to work with:

33w on 3.3v rail
50w on 5v rail
60w on 12v rail

Then i'll have to worry about video, probably eating about 50w itself.

I'm going to be using a DC-DC PSU in a mobile environment. Still looking for some higher power supplies, don't really want to go the inverter route.

Power supply needs are really overrated.

While not exactly the same thing, the following should make you wonder...

For example, how can a PC with 3.4GHz performance, 128 meg 1600x1200 ATi 9700 video, wireless G, bluetooth, DVDRW, 100gig HD, 17" WUXGA video, SB Audigy 2 ZS PCMCIA, 56k, Nic, 1 gig mem, speakers with powered sub, plus much more, all powered by a single 90 watt power supply that is really only needing to output less than 50 watts in above (except when charging battery at same time, when it then goes up to about 60 watts usage)?.?.?

In HTPC's I build, 200w has always been more than enough, even when using ATi 9700 Pro, and DVB-S sat tuner cards (even though the DVB-S card alone requires 13 and 18v to power LNB's).
