150GB Raptor X Drive....$199

Still Warm

Same price pretty much for the retail drive and you can buy it at a B&M. Hot considering my Newegg drive was a year old when sold to me as new and much louder than the one I got from BB which was about a month old when sold to me as new.

If you can find a cheaper price on this drive then post it, otherwise this is still the lowest price around and no MIR on the fastest non-SCSI drive available. Can also try stacking this with the 12% Rewards Zone Coupon to make it a bit hotter at $176 + tax

It was $179.99 a few weeks back at BB...why go to CompUSSR to price match anyway? 😕

Just a side note on these drives, the polycarbonate cover lets a noticeable amount of idle noise escape. Not a whine, but a steady 'white noise' type. You can check this by putting your fingers over (not touching) the window and the noise reduces quite a bit.

I'm contemplating selling it to someone who doesn't mind and getting one from the 'egg for 189 after rebate with a solid cover to match my other 150.

i dont know...i saw it was 230 at newegg so i thought this would be a good deal as newegg usually has good prices

and the reason to pricematch is bc almost all best buys dont carry it in theiri stores and theri backordered online, and compusa has them in stock in their stores

pretty sure more BB's are gonna have em in stores now...mine (Ames, IA) didnt have em for the longest time and now we have em....and if this store does, most of em are gonna.

after that sale though, in stock is the more important question.

I had one on backorder for $169 or whatever it was before, it was STILL on backorder this weekend but I saw my local BB had it in stock so I had them change the order from delivery to pickup. Saved me 6 bucks and I still got it for the original sale price. W00t

Shame they do not make a 10K RPM notebook drive, now that would be miniaturization!

<--- has a 4200RPM drive in notebook with raptor on desktop, HUGE difference.
