Would this computer be worth it to run say a GTX 680 or would it bottleneck me beyond my dreams of F.E.A.R

I was gonna go for the pc gamer rig which is as follows:

i5 3570k
asus p8h77-1
$40 8gb ram
hard drive -- get an SSD? No idea where to start looking.
Sapphire Radeon 7870
case P180
PSU 460 watts (enough for one or two big ticket gpu?? quiet hardware SPCR http://silentpcreview.com)

I feel so inept about deciding on this but really want to play FEAR

LOL FEAR is a piece of cake to run. I used to run it on max settings with no AA at 1280x1024 on a 3.2 GHz P4 with an ATI X850XT. That said, your proposed build is much better than the cheap linked one however I would go with a higher wattage power supply. If you want more advice post in the General Hardware section, just know that they are obsessed with AsRock motherboards for some reason which are of inferior quality to ASUS IMO.
