Talk to a lawyer and seek their advice.

Be sure you have everything documented. (copies of doctors forms, etc.)

The advice you'll get here is "SUE THE BASTARDS!!!@@!!11" or "KILL THEM"... (except for those smart individuals who actually know what they are talking about)

Call who ever is in charge of Workmans comp at the state level and ask for details. If that doesn't help watch TV for 20 minutes and find one of those scumbag lawyers.

 

I think you'll be getting a check soon from their workman's comp insurance company. Companies don't usually handle workman's comp claims in-house. The reason it's taking so long is probably because your case has to be reviewed by an independent doctor hired by the insurance company to make sure you're not trying to defraud UPS or the insurance. A member of my family is one of those 'independent doctors,' and that's generally how it works, at least for most large companies.

Worker's compensation is an insurance policy that most states require that most buisnesses with employees purchase. Laws vary in each state. But it is company run, not government run.
