Hey guys, I'm 25 Years old and I had a few GAMING PC monsters before in my life when I was younger.

for the past 2 years, i had the ps4 (since the day it was launched).
so I'm kind of not up to date with all the new top notch hardware that is out there.

Obviously, I'm aware of the new 1080GTX and the technology that is implemented in that GPU is so impressive i decided to go ahead and spoil myself with a new GAMING RIG.

I want the PC to be small as possible and quiet as possible because its going to be sitting in my living room. plus it needs to be cool. i live in NEVADA. its hot here.

I already have a 4K 55INCH samsung TV (UNJ710055) so there is no need to include a screen in the given budget.

the last thing i really want is an SLI system. i want to take full advantage of NVIDIA PHYSX and NVIDIA Hairworks in games like Batman Arkham Origins, the old Mirrors edge and now days the Witcher 3. those are just examples of very demanding games regarding PYHSX processing power. I want one of the cards to handle the PHYSX and the other one the rest. the other card can be a 1070GTX or 980GTX...i would rather to have two 1080GTX in that budget if possible.

IF NEEDED, I AM WILLING TO INCREASE THE BUDGET to $1800 for a truly better system.

PLEASE INCLUDE IN THAT BUDGET AN ELITE METAL XBOX ONE or XBOX S REMOTE CONTROLLER.

THANKS IN ADVANCE GUYS

Uhh, those two things are NOT compatible.

SLI requires a motherboard with two full-sized PCI-E x16 slots, which need to be spaced apart for cooling and mechanical reasons.

Plus, SLI runs hot, and noisy.

Choose one. SLI or small/quiet. (ITX)

****************IGNORE*************************im not 100% sure but i think a single 1080 should be able to take care of hairworks @ 4k.

anyway, what country are you based on / where will you be buying parts? never mind..

do you already have a Windows install disk / Windows license?

working on your build now.

Thank you very much! Cant we do one 1080 and the other one for physx like a 1070 or 980 that are cheaper and will be enough just for that purpose? Maybe im wrong...im asking. Its just that if we can, it will go down from 2k to 1600-1800 dollars

OP:

Assuming you're not trolling us here, I strongly suggest waiting for AMD's Vega series to hit the benches and then seeing which between Vega and Pascal gives the best performance per dollar and performance for watt. Ditto waiting for Intel's Kaby Lake and AMD's Zen to hit; whatever the KBL successor to the 6700K is likely has higher base and turbo clocks, and Zen may turn out to be a surprise hit.

Honestly speaking, it sounds like you're not entirely clear on the concepts of how certain things work here. You are *not* going to get SLI 1080s, or anything similar, in a USD$1500 budget, for the simple reason that the two GPUs alone cost about that much. You also aren't going to fit an SLI or Crossfire array inside any ITX case I know of; MicroATX is the smallest you can go, and heaven help you if the ventilation is poor. Then you need to invest in as good a power supply as you can get; active PFC, ideally at least 80+ Bronze rating, and 800W *minimum* if you plan to drive 2 high-end GPUs off of it.

I would revise the budget to "north of $2000" if you're serious about this...

Apparently i didnt own or build a gaming pc longer than I thought...im not trolling anything or anyone...i just lack the knowledge of the current market.

I thought if i get a $500 1080gtx (not the founders edition) and another $400 1070GTX a budget of 1800 will do.

you do not need a separate card to handle physix; IF you had a separate card (and generally it's an older, dlower card) you could dedicate that to phy, but a system with sli will crush anything, regardless of phy or no phy.

as said before, you really need to wait for the new AMD cards; even in the worst situation, a triple crossfire would only cost $600.
