Hi gang. Need to put together a PC for my cousin quick. Will be pairing it with a Ph II X4 955 Black or X3 740 Black (undecided still), GSkill Ripjaws or Mushkin Blackline Enhanced DDR3 (undecided) and reusing his Corsair 620HX and GTX260.

- Gaming 95%
- Overclocking on air...right to the limit (with upgraded cooler)
- Must support PS2 keyboard (don't ask...insists)
- Must support floppy drive (good for memtest and old school bios flash)
- Single GPU
- Clear CMOS button on outside strongly preferred!

I am typically an Intel guy so I need some help with this AMD build. Have used Gigabyte a lot since they are easy to work with and have straightforward bioses, but I saw the Asrock 870 Extreme3 which looked interesting, but then again...it's Asrock, lol. Also, is Asus still the PITA I remember?

Help appreciated, B

asus is probubly the most popular..these no problem..for high o/clocks asus over asrock..gigabyte also very good boards...asrock fine for mild o/clocking...all these late amd boards will do fine..asus ,giga, msi, even biostar builds real good boards and are o/clock friendly....the 870 boards do fine as long as you only use 1 video card...they only support 1 pcie x16 slot...

Good luck with the floppy and PS/2 ports most boards don't have floppy connectors anymore and only 1 IDE controller plus a lot of boards have either no PS/2 ports or only 1 so it really is going to limit your choices.
