A teen girl living in Beverly Hills is bitching that her mother cut her allowance from $5000 a month to $1000. She even went on the Dr Phil show to "force" her mother to increase her allowance as she can't life like a peasant.

She even complains that the car her mother wants to give her isn't good enough either.

Don't about you guys, but I would be ashamed to have a a daughter like this.

The problem was giving her that kind of money to begin with. Horrible parenting.

Cut her off and kick her out at 18. Then let men buy her things for access to, well, other things.

she was later heard saying, "cash me outside. how 'bout dat."

:p

Sad thing is that dumbtard is worth a lot of money now. I hate how stupid people are. Why give her attention, money, and fame? People care more about celebrities or train wrecks than what's going on in the government, and these bozos get to vote.

People love to talk about and criticize how other people use money. Middle class people love to talk about how poor people and bad with money. They also love to talk about how, if they were rich, they wouldn't piss their money away like rich people do. Rich people like to talk about how poor people wouldn't be so poor if they were better with money. Poor people like to criticize other poor people for being moochers.

That is about 90% of these types of articles, just giving people an easy target for criticism so they can feel better about their own lives.

If you are going on Dr. Phil for this (including the mother) it just seems like it's like Maury... it's all fake BS.

Maybe I'm wrong though....

I think the big problem is when people have a sudden adjustment as far as finances go. That is why I think so many lottery winners end up broke.

Ironically, based on net income, I'm guessing them giving their kid $1000 (or even $5000) a month is less percentage than if I gave my kid $100 or $500

Yeah, we just dropped $500 on the prom...sheesh.

Exactly - and think about what %age of your incoming that is compared to some rich Beverly Hills person spending $5,000 on their daughters prom. You spent way more based on your income

IIRC, your son is about the same age. Does he need a brother?

:D

You got your kid cocaine and hookers for the prom? Best dad ever.
The hooker was for me but, yeah, I'm the best.

We earned .10/day if we did our chores. This was back in the stone age though.
If cell phones had existed back then could you imagine asking your parents for one?

I got $20 a week for chores when I was a kid. Now I spend $20 a day on coffee and snacks.

It's about what you're used to. I'll bet everyone of you would whine and cry like the girl if your income suddenly got cut by 80%. It takes period of adjustment to downgrade and get over the shock.
