15" with great battery life what are the options?

so far the best ive seen is the Gateway 460 which with the optional 12 cell adding that to the 6 cell it comes with it can get 12 hours.

are there other brands out there that can compelte?
 
Nothing with that battery life.
If money is no option, you can get a T42/43 with the 9-cell battery (~5 hours) and the UltraSlim battery (3-cell). IBM says up to 9 hours, realistically more like 7-8 max.
Any HP Centrino notebook with 15" or smaller screen (BrightView or not) will get 6+ hours with the 12-cell. Those are probably some of your best bang for the $ laptops regarding battery life.
Most other companies will have the standard 4-6 hours depending on battery. I think with some Dell's you can put in two batteries also or something.
