Is this new? I never noticed this before! argh!

OK, I'm actually glad that youtube will increase revenue this way so I'm not really upset, more curious.

Yes, I was really worried about google running out of money.

Hulu's ratio of 2-3 min of commercial / hour of show seems about right to me, on youtube where the average video is under a minute I don't see why I should have to watch an add before every video.

It's not every video, maybe one out of every ten?

you have to watch an ad every 20 or so videos because a lot of people run adblocker causing Google to make no money off ad's on the page. So thank all the people who can't be bothered to ignore a couple ads on a web page, even with the site being free.

Well you can block hulu ad's with various add on's and you won't see them so I am sure you can do something similar with youtube's.

I'm all for supporting advertisements on websites so long as the file format is a PICTURE and not a fucking flash ad that takes 10s to load then another 10s to play it's stupid sounds.

Flash ruined internet advertising IMO.

Yeah right, adblocker. I seriously think maybe 1 out of 1000 people ever find anything from any ad banner. The rest, if they click on it, did it on mistake.

I'll stop blocking ads when companies stop putting animated flash banners on their sites. I don't need something moving around and flashing in my peripheral vision while I'm reading. I really don't mind ads, but if they are animated they are a deal breaker. I disable ad blocker on sites like http://stackoverflow.com where they have a "no animation" policy.

link?

Adblock plus for ff.

Just need to do a quick google search for the ad sites to block.

Once in awhile I will get the 30 second first commercial asking to make sure your ad blockers are disabled but that one happens only about 10% of the time.

Did you add specific URLs from Hulu's ad server, I get the space holder telling you to disable adblocker 100% of the time.
