Tonight I am faced with the traditional college question:
What is a better investment of my time? To have fun now, and start my paper tomorrow, hoping I am more energized from a night of fun?
Or to start now, and just get the dang thing done, in order to encourage discipline
Going out and having fun, would probably entail me finding a couple friends and seeing if they wanted to hit up the bars, or check out a club. I could wake up tomorrow more energetic and wanting to work, but I would lose tonight, and my focus wouldnt begin til tomorrow.
If I worked on my paper tonight, that would establish a pattern of discipline, although I might not be as energized while doing it.
The paper could take awhile, most students tell me it takes them 3 full days to write it (those who've taken this class before) The paper needs at least 15-20 sources. I dont have much going on between now and Tues, just a few hours of class.
Up to this point, I've had a rather boring weekend.
But this gets down to the age old college question: which is more conducive to studying: Playing first, and then buckling down to study? Or get at it right away, and continuing to study?
