Hm, this guy and the Russian (claiming the whole gulf might explode) should get together. Who knows what kinds of doomsday scenarios they might dream up...

Take anything mentioned on Coast to Coast AM with a grain of salt.
It's fun to listen to but the "guests" are not always the brightest or most informed bulbs in the box.

Coast to Coast AM radio hosted a guest that said a 15 to 20 mile bubble of flammable gas is sitting underneath the Gulf of Mexico and it could rupture when it reaches its saturation point beneath the pressure of the water. If this gigantic bubble does explode it could send a tsunami wave hurtling at coastal areas at speeds of up to 600 miles per hour. The man cited "reputable sources in the government." If this is true, why hasn't the mainstream media been covering this news?

WTH bbq!!

There is going to be a giant FIREBALL exploding in the gulf and it will catch all the oil on fire, too and 600 mph wave! HOLY FVCK. That is almost the speed of sound. A tidal wave at almost the speed of sound! You will only hear its roar moments before you are crashed against the oily rocks. It will thousands of miles inland not ebbing until it breaks apart the skyscrapers of Toronto and leaves nothing but a lake for what was once the US!

I honestly question the tsunami aspect of it. What is the potential energy release from this? We detonated megaton nukes under the surface in the 60s and it didnt create a tsuanmi. How much energy needs to be released at that depth to do anything?

Wouldn't it be a 600 mph oily, flaming wave?

Sounds like a great plot to the made for tv movie "The flaming wave"
