Crappy resolution, but what can you expect from a 15inch LCD. Decent response time. Never used Sceptre before, but hey, its an LCD.

Amazon rebates usually take a while too, but I've always gotten them to pay up.

1024 X 768 is the standard resolution for a 15" monitor (at least of the desktop variety). The contrast, brightness, and pixel response time (16ms) all look good.

I've seen some Sceptres, and they look as good as the other recent LCD flat panels -- which is to say, pretty darned good, although not quite up there with Samsung, Sony, etc. I'd imagine there are only a few factories producing the LCD panels, so I personally feel comfortable buying them on price.

I use a 17" Sceptre LCD at work, model X7, I've found it to be quite nice. It's nothing "special" but great for a coding/office display. If you aren't gaming and are used to a 17" CRT, then this unit will probably pay for itself in energy savings; let alone reduced eye strain.
