Go outside now before you get broadband because you'll probably never leave your house after getting that big fat pipe.

you might as well get all your big downloads done now before they implement (rumored) a tighter bandwidth cap.

BTW...timewarner RR SUCKS in detroit.

When my connection goes down I sit in the corner curled up in a ball until it comes back on.

Basically. I had a T1 at work but they capped me at 56K to save money. DSL is not available here and cable just became available.

LOL, already have big plans. One is kicking some butt in UT. I kept getting owned on the 56K.

What an experience. The tech came and hooked me up outside, tested the line inside and left. I tried to install their software but it keeps failing the DNS test. The status light on the modem kept blinking, indicating a problem. I called and they scheduled another appointment. I then went out to watch a little TV and my cable tv signal was very poor. Hmm, I said. I went outside and checked out the splitter he had installed. It was hooked up incorretly. He had my modem hooked up to the input side of the splitter and the input
line hooked up to one of the outputs. I switched them around and now my tv signal is fine but the modem was still blinking. I unplugged the modem for 1/2 hour plugged it back in and got everything going. I went to Speed411.com and got 2992 KBPS, that's up from 35 - 40 KBPS. Ya, buddy!

I have ATT broadband. I wonder if they'll cap me as more people sign up?
