They were comapring thie 75 GXP's to the Maxtor 60GB from another thread I think . Even IF the Maxtor were slightly faster (which it generally isn't), you would have to be drunk or on a weeklong liquid diet like me to compare maxtor to ibm for hard drives on any day. If you just need one decent sized hard drive, this is a very good deal. As always with HD, pay a little more and you will get a lot more capacity. I have seen a few of these in action by the way and I have never (not) heard such a quiet drive, nor had such a responsive one.
For those on speed kicks, this is one of the rare times you can get 2 top of the line drives for 150 for striping (assuming it works with your RAID controller)
