$15 diff between 8500 and Ti200

Right now there's a fifteen dollar difference between the 8500 and a gainward GF3 ti 200. I've read that the (gainward esp.) ti 200 and be pushed up to ti500 performance, so which is the better deal? Thanks.

in terms of an oc'd r8500.....in alot of benches the 8500 is now even (and ahead in some) with the ti500...and new drivers are comming out all of the time...imho you cant go wrong with the 8500.....

I've got a Radeon 8500 and a vanilla GF3... and the nvidia card is the one on the shelf right now. Infinite loop bug cheezed me off too much, and the image quality of the radeon is far superior.

neither IMHO, heheheh ask yourself is your existing card that bad? does any game show a slow down which your card can't handle? I would wait til the next generation of cards since its not too long a wait til G4 and R300 rolls out.

sure you can always o/c the ti200 to ti500 performance, but you can always o/c the 8500(with is alredy beyond ti500 performance....)

$15 difference? Where at?
I looked on Newegg's site & their retail 8500 (the one everyone says one should get) is $248 and the Gainward (Golden Sample) Ti200 (450) is $156, and for $40 more you can get the 128mb version.
For that kinda difference, I think i'd go w/the Gainward, yes?

Given the higher performance and additional features of the 8500, I would pick it. Also, since many have 3.6ns DDR SGRAM (others have 4ns), it overclocks well, too.
