Anyone have a 15.6" laptop with a 1080p screen? If so do you play games at a lower resolution to improve performance?

How well does the small screen hide the fact that you aren't playing at the native resolution?

If you are going to get 1080p might as well spring for the better GPU to run games at native res.

I have one and yes I run some games at a lower resolution. In fact just yesterday I was comparing the difference between native res and a lower res. It's a noticeable difference, running at lower res makes things slightly blurry. But I don't think the loss of sharpness is a big deal in games, it's better than not being able to run the game at all or having it run too slowly.

My GTX 560m runs basically anything I can throw at it.

A 1080p screen is useful outside of gaming - for multitasking, HD video, even browsing the web.

Plus, 1080p screen upgrades on laptops are often HIGHER QUALITY than their 768p counterparts - better brightness, antiglare, better contrast ratio, etc. etc.

That's why I opted for the 1080p screen. I mainly want this laptop for photoshop and dreamweaver use. I can deal with it looking blurry when I decide to game on the go if I have to for playable framerates. My PC at home is for mainly for gaming.
