Hi friends, I need a top freezer, refrigerator. no ice maker, energy start rated. I am willing to pay a high price if the quality is worth it. Height - 67 inches or less, width 32 or less. This is for me only so I do not want anything bigger. so far this seems to be a good deal, http://www.sears.com/kenmore-16.5-cu-ft-top-freezer-refrigerator-non/p-04661762000P
especially the fact that the doors are reversible (I really want hinges on the left (but not a deal breaker). Thanks for any insight or advise.

Where you purchase is more important than what you purchase. New refrigerators use linear compressors (to save energy) and most every refrigerator comes with a one or two year warranty. LG has a 10 year on the compressor, but only parts. Either way, the new technology in refrigerators could have you spending $2000 and have it go belly up after a few years. How do you avoid this? You can purchase an extended warranty for a two or three hundred dollars more, but that only extends your warranty to 5 years. We purchased our refrigerator at Costco. Costco has a return policy that if you are ever unhappy with your purchase, you can return it for a full refund. This is much better than any extended warranty. I would look to see what Costco has to offer. They do free installation and free haul away of your old refrigerator.

My Hotpoint has held up for many years. Going strong at 20 years. If it dies tomorrow I can't complain. Got more than my moneys worth.
