i ahve not, but my dad goes at least once a year. he goes to one in Palm SPrings...
as far as what i have seen from brouchures, etc, there are a lOT of european guests and everyone is not "gawky" at all. They are used to seeing it and its just normal.
honestly, if youre not going to be nude, there is really no point in going, because i can tell you 99% of the people that go there you would not really want to see nude in the first place.

If you want good looking nekkid peoples, go to Hedo in the caribbean!

Thanks Lola! It sounds like it should be fun and relaxing, a nice way to wind down after New Years... I booked reservations at the resort because it's a lovely facility and it was an incredible deal, but honestly don't plan on going nude in front of strangers. :\ Maybe I'm just strange like that. I'm not going to gawk and neither is my fiance, we're just hoping for a nice, quiet day (plus the food sounds great, and we want to try out the tanning beds and such 🙂 ).

Thanks for the tip about Hedo, maybe someday... 😛
 
I haven't been to a resort like that but I've been to a couple of nude beaches; some people you just don't want to see naked.

AFAIK, they are all very relaxed and nice and are not going to look at you *if* you do want to try going "au natural" 😉

 
Have been to a nude beach, not a resort. Like Lola said, people are not gawky at all. It's just like second nature to them. Should be fun

Thank you! 🙂 Thanks to the promotion, an entire day at the spa (11am-5:30pm) is only $139/couple (!!!). The steak/seafood/sushi all-you-can-eat buffet is tempting, and the place really does look lovely. I'm a dork, and worked it out to about $10.70/hour, per person... for usage of all the facilities and the free food and drinks, it's quite a bargain!

trust me... those that go to that type of resort are not the ones to gawk at.
its mostly families and older cuoples at most nude resorts. since this is an adult only, i am sure there will be mostly older couples.
and its funny... on a similar note, when my FI and i went on a cruise last FEb we went to Oreint Bay Beach in St Martin, which is a clothing optional beach... He was psyched thinking he'd see all the hot girls walking around and he got quite a shock when all he saw was an 80 yr old couple walking around with the wife topless and "hanging" and both in a "stars and stripes" matching thongs!!!

I'm not interested in seeing any unclad males besides mine, and if there do happen to be pretty girls then I don't see a problem with a respectful look. Looking is fine and completely harmless, but anything more than that is a no-no.

then why are you going? there are plenty of other, clothing required resorts that im sure you could score just as good of a deal.


my advice is dont go. youre being naive if you think it wont happen, for both of you. i dont believe for one second that there is no other male out there that you wouldnt delight in seeing naked.

maybe you two should define a "respectful look" before you go. hell, define a respectful look to me.

not trying to bash or offend, but these issues WILL arise considering neither of you are nudists, or have been to one before.
