So I found the perfect resolution/LCD size. I've tried much larger 32" ones or others with a hella high res but I always go back to the good ol' 19" widescreen. Because of this, what video card could I max everything out and get away with?
I'm building a new machine soon and I'm sure a $130 HD 5770 would be overkill, right?
Are you in the United States? If so, $130 is a lot to pay for a 5770. $100 or less sounds a lot better (don't forget to check 6770 also, same card but more choices/cheaper).
the 5770 really held their prices well because Nvidia never had good competition for them. At that price range also consider the GTX 460 (any version, 1GB (Non SE) being the best) or the 6850. I used to see a lot of GTX 460 deals but those are drying up and now I'm seeing a lot of 6850 deals.
