Ahhh... I'd feel so bad if someone actually killed themselves while I was talking to them... then again if they're calling the suicide prevention hotline they must not really be suicidal... :D

Yep, I did for a number of years, not many calls, but the other volunteers were nice people.

I mean, if you volunteered and 100% of the calls you took ended up committing suicide while you were on the phone, whereas the center's average before you got there was, like, 20% or something....

I mean, you can't get in trouble for that, can you?

I heard on the radio that half the time people calls the suicide pervention hotline, it's busy.

On a lighter note, it would be quite memorable if I walked in to those and everyone had scorecards taped next to the phone.

All you did was NOT help them, right?
