1440/4K Gaming -> Is Acer Predator X34P still the "better" option?

So,

I'm in the market for a good ultra-wide monitor and pretty much all reviews of come down to the choice of an Acer Predator X34P.

Is this still the better (best) choice to buy this year as gaming monitor, or are there other suggestions?

Maybe new monitors coming out soon or maybe a new monitor just got recently released?

Thanks!

The Acer X35 is out now. IMO, it's better than the X34P in every way except one. It's a VA panel, while the X34P is IPS.

If you've got the budget for it, I believe the new crown goes to the LG 38GL950G.
38" 21:9 3840x1600 IPS panel with a G-Sync range of 1 to 175 hz (144hz standard, up to 175hz OC)
Display HDR400, and a 1ms GtG response time, though that's likely only with the fastest mode enabled, which will have a tonnnn of blurring, realistically though, if it matches the 27" little brother, it should have ~2-3ms response times, which for an IPS panel is record-breaking.

Should be out mid-September in the US. At a cool ~$2,000.
