Noticed the apologists ignored my post after reading the Holy Quran saying beat the fuck out of lose womens. Maybe try moral equivalence. Lame too because Christians are not waxing people with bible in hand anymore. Most Christian, thankfully, are fake, relics, and /or sifters of passages, and don't take that shit too serious. Muslims OTOH seem to have a problem with fidelity to life 1500 years ago and their nutcase pedophilic sadistic prophet.
To their credit, Bangladesh as a nation has banned this sort of behavior. Unfortunately in most Islamic nations, village imams effectively ARE local government, with the power of life and death. In this case you even had a family who did not want the girl punished - by far not always the case - but local government insisted on a punishment that killed her.

If Bangladesh is REALLY serious about this kind of behavior, it must arrest the imam and his accomplices, try them, and execute those who are guilty of ordering and implementing this punishment.

If there were as many uncivilized Christian countries as there are Muslim countries, I think you would see the same level of brutality in the name of Christianity. If you aren't aware of what the Bible thinks of slavery or adultery, then do a quick google search and see for yourself. It looks like Zebo has already covered a small part of it.

The difference is civilized countries are civil enough to filter out all of the stuff from the Bible that Christianity doesn't want you to know. Uncivilized countries or parts of countries that are uncivilized are the ones that tend to take The Bible, Quran, etc, literally.

Saying that Muslims are more likely to practice these brutal teachings is kind of like saying black people are more likely to commit a felony. While both may be true, you need to look into it in more detail to see why that is. It doesn't mean black people are born more aggressively, it means that there is a correlation to poverty and crime rate.

It is both amusing and sad that you are truly unable to see the irony of your own words. Civilization comes from culture, of which religion is a very large part. Muslim countries are some of the oldest civilizations in the world; they are uncivilized BECAUSE of Islam, not in spite of it.
