14" Monitor only 11,5" viewable

First, excuse my English.

My old monitor on a K6 2 system, loss 1,5" on every side of the screen. I've probed another monitor in my system with a Virge GX2 AGP graphic card and it is ok.

Another old monitor has the same problem with my system

I don't know what happen.

If you Know, please help me.

The maxim size I can get with that buttons you say is 11,5".

Of course I have moved them on left and on right, but I can't adjust the size greater.

Ditto on the refresh rate. You'll notice that the screen can be adjusted to different sizes depending on the refresh rate you choose. Try starting at 640x480 @ 60hz, 640x480 @70 hz, and 640x480 @ 72hz and see if you're able to fill the screen out with the monitor controls in one of those modes.

Sometimes old monitors just act like that with newer video cards. I use to have a bench (testing) monitor that would act up like that all the time.
Not much you can do, except get a new video card or a new monitor.
