I'm going to have full control of 5 Quad Xeons (at 700Mhz each) for about 3 weeks. Yum. I'll probably let an associate use 1 for seti (although he's not TA) and I'll take the rest for OGR.

I also just got a dual PIII 933 that'll be doing OGR as of now.

Assuming he gets 4 CPU's (the one quad box)...he'd get more WU's, and you the same amount of OGR stubs if you were to run S@H on one of the processors for four boxes versus all on the same machine (unless they are like, 2mb Xeons ;)), and OGR on all the other CPU's. Of course, that might just be a pain.

Great assimilation! :D

Great assimilations....even if only short term....:)

:D

TeAm Anandtech OGR needs it as much as any TeAm Anandtech team right now....Getting kicked on both the RC5 (DPC) and OGR(/.) fronts daily...:(

Assimilator While I find S@H intriguing, and SETI in general, I can't claim that to be the driving force behind me becoming a "seti buff" so-to-speak. Its really that I'm endlessly facinated by Computer Architecture. S@H stresses far more aspects of a computer system than do most other distributed projects. In the beginning, that was really more due to a lack of optimization than true "strain" on the architecture, but really its my quest for learning more about computer architecture that drives me to understand things. I also like distributed computing, so its only natural ;)

I really think that the TA RC5 Effort needs more power, we may be able to catch up to /. in a few days with that assimilation! :D
