Hi I have a Core i7 990X CPU on a Rampage 3 Gene Micro ATX motherboard

I am considering replacing the motherboard with a regular ATX and I would like opinions on what was the best most reliable highest quality X58 1366 motherboard?

Was it the ASUS Rampage 3 Extreme? or the EVGA Classified 3 X58? or the Gigabyte Assassin 1366?

Other?

Thanks

Any high quality/high end x58 mobo will be hard to find. Even the decent more common models are hard to find for sale working. With that said, Asus and gigabyte both had some great x58 boards.

I would not say the evga x58 boards were reliable but that's just my experience/opinion, although I did run folding@home on one for a year without issue.

I have a lenovo x58 if you're interested.

I have an Asus P6T Deluxe v2. I seem to have seen a lot on AT use that board. Rock solid.

I have a system with a x58 UD5 from gigabyte, which was one of the better launch boards.

For x58 I ran evga e760 classified (the best one I used) and an evga e758 (my backup mb) and the classified was fantastic for the several years that I ran it. Today however I wouldn't spend one dime on evga's mb's as they aren't the same caliber and would suggest that you search for an asus or gigabyte model.
