I'd like to know what was modded with what. L's can get into 12's pretty easy with less than $1k in mods. That M3 was obviously modded though. The Lightning isn't very good off a roll anyway though, not to make excuses.

I doubt the M3 has any substantial mods, based on impression that there isn't any 'real' mod for the E46 out there. A freaking cat-back exhaust for the M3 cost like 1200 dollars, and just because it is made out of titanium. it didn't boost much power anyways.


and the F-150 Type-R is just a joke 🙂
 
I'd be surprised if the combined IQ of the guys who made that video exceeds 100. Fortunately (going by the insinuation) only one of them has bred, and only once.
 
Dumb Lightning owner. Heavy pickup truck versus light sports car at highway speeds... M3 has every advantage.
 
They should call this video brick vs. aerodynamics.

The Lightning goes from stop light to stop light. I've been schooled by various cars at high speeds. SS, Z28, Trans Am, Corvette, Viper, Jaguar XK8, Audi S4, BMW M5. The Lightning is at it's best in the 1/8th mile, where it's massive torque powers it past the competition. Beyond that, it's a 4700lb truck fighting the laws of physics.

Weight makes less of a difference at higher speeds. It's the poor aerodynamics of the truck that hurt it at high speeds.
