oh, that thing in his mouth is a magnetic doorstopper. There's a metal part on the door in the corresponding place. Prevents the door from slamming or closing when it's open.
Fairly common over here in southeast asia.

Hehe, it's a cute little baby, and yeah, it probably just wants something to suckle on, like all other babies.
