133 FSB CPUs on a 100FSB mobo

I've got a dual CPU BX motherboard and I just bought two P3-1.2GHz CPUs based on the 133MHz FSB. These CPUs are just going to run at the 100MHz FSB (900MHz CPU speed), right? Diminishing stock of 100MHz FSB CPUs pushed me over the edge. I think the slotkets I've purchased will let me control things a little. Well, it wasn't my money anyway! :p

I believe they will run at the same mulitplier, just a lower FSB speed, which means lower clock. I don't see why it wouldn't run.

Good luck.

Are they Coppermine or Tualatin? I know some early dual BX boards (Tiger 100 before Rev E or F) don't support Coppermine processors. Would they work? Dunno. Might work fine. Might blow out the VRM also.

I think a lot of BX boards have problems with Tualatin's though, 'specially if you aren't using those PowerLeap adapters.

Good luck, sounds as though you're going to need it.
