What would cause 133 to not work. I just flashed to KT73r witch supports 1400mhz. When trying anything times 133 the screen goes blank and I have to clear the cmos and reboot. I am currently running it at 115 times (something) (around 13xx). The CPU temperature is 52c. This is a new system with nothing installed except, floppy, cdrom, gts2 pro, nic card. The bios has all default settings except for the cpu setting. The system crashes while running any 3d video even at 13xx.

Is it an original KT7 or a KT7A?

The first KT7 wasn't 100% certied for 133MHz because the VIA KT133 chipset wasn't rated for it. Only the KT133A is 133MHz rated.

OH, sorry. the motherboard is a "abit kt7a via kt133" so it should work right.

This kind of thing happens to me. But I found a way around it. I turn the computer on, wait for 5 or so seconds and then press the reset button. Everything is rosie. Don't ask me why, it just is. I've given up trying to find out why this is so.

Post your result and if it doesn't work I'll see if I can find out if any of your BIOS settings etc can be tweaked.

OH MY GOSH.

after all that IT WAS THE MOTHERBOARD. I am 100% sure. I took the whole thing apart and used a differnt kt7a. It is fine/stable at 133*10.5 (1400) and probably higher.

Thanks a lot for all the suggestions, I learned a lot! I hope they warranty it, but I am just glad to what the problem was.
