133-100 memory drop

I ran memtest at 300fsb and it failed in 3 minutes. So at my 133 divider my memory is maxed somewhere between 296-300. If I drop to the absolute lowest 100 divider would this significantly hurt my overall system speed?

I'd run @ 9*296 (2664 MHz) with the 133 divider rather than using the 100 divider, unless you can hit significantly higher HTT speeds.

IIRC in your other threads, you've mentioned you couldn't quite get stable @ 2700 MHz.

So just run what i suggested above, since it gives you great CPU speeds, & great memory speeds.

I'd also recommend keeping all your OCing related questions in one thread, as it gets rather hard to follow your progress when you have so many threads on the same thing.

Thanks N7. Sorry bout the threads Im very impatient as you noticed. Im at 9x295 with 133 divider right now, im gonna reboot, close all apps and run memtest and prime95 overnight. If this is completely stable which it seems, then I will keep the settings handy, venture into the 100 divider and see if I can push it far enough to make it worth it. 3dmark score I think was 3840 and Aquamark03 64k score with a cpu rating somewhere around 10k.

What would be the mhz boost that would make it worth it to go from 133 to 100 divider? I can get 2.8ghz+ with the 100 and 2.66 with the 133

sweetness. well Im at 9x312 with the 100. 2.8 ghz and Im running memtest right now. Took me upping the chipset voltage to run smooth over 310. Geez if I can hit 3ghz with this thing Ill be crying like a baby. My chipset is running mid 30s and my cpu hits mid 40c under load. 30c is nothing so I may push the chipset further. I also may upgrade cooling for my cpu since its stock hsf. I have a extra fan in there blowing on it at 4000rpm to help.
