court costs? That's typical if you took a deal. But if you go to actual trial and win you don't have to pay it.(at least in my state)

Yeah. Even if you get the points removed and have the ticket dropped to the lowest possible fine, there is still >$100 of "administrator fees".

The last ticket I got the cop was "nice" and gave me a non-moving violation, which carries no points and the minumum fine of $20. That's before they add the $180 of additional processing and administration fees.

try getting a 75 buck parking ticket tossed, then getting a 150 buck court costs bill from parking 'court' for proving the ticket was incorrectly issued.

(thank you city of chicago you effin crooks)

You are paying for "no points" - which typically results in something around $300/yr for the next 3-5 years in insurance costs. (at least thats what 2 points cost me. )

I got knocked for 65 in a 55 about 2 inches past the 55 mph sign (from a 65 mph zone).

Cops are good people. I know ATOT will ream me for this, YOU WERE SPEEDING etc etc, whatever.
