It is exactly the same as the KOSS unit quality wise (hissing, chirping, etc) but it's missing all the good extra features like the remote, sub preout, front preout.. I would get the KOSS if you need such a cheapo deck..

this has been around on the boards for a while. Reviews on the Koss, and this have said that the sound quality sucks. They believe that the reason is that its running its internal amp at full and using the preamp to adjust volume...and guess what the internal amp is crap so the end result is that hissing and poping. Most agree that if you must get a dirt cheap MP3 deck and dont want to spend 200+ then the unit is fine....I just hate the silver look

I bought that a few weeks ago. To be honest, it was better than I expected. Its got a motorized and detachable face-plate. Occasionally it will mess up for a second, like its not reading the CD, but that could be the media I use. And as far as sound quality, I think it sounds just as good, if not better than my computer, but that was after I replaced my factory speakers with some pioneers I got at wal-mart. I'd let you know how it plays audio CD's, but I havent played one in it yet, I think the mp3 playback is good enough. So unless your a real audiophile(And I'm assuming your not, or you wouldn't be looking at a $130 cd player), I think that player would be fine.

<< I don't think the koss had front pre outs. Just subwoofer >>

Oh really you think!? I owned it.. I know it had 5 RCA jacks coming out the back.. 2 front, 2 rear, 1 sub.. this ExtremeSound one only has 2 rear out RCA jacks..

For some reason too some peoples cars don't have the hissing problems with the deck.. but everyone has the chirps :( That's why I couldn't stand this unit and took it back.. all the other problems were fixable..
