...and what did Bush say in regard to going to war with Iraq today? "Saddam Hussein was a grave and gathering threat to America and the world." :disgust:

Wow.

I was at seven of my soldiers' funerals between August and November...there were more than a couple tears if I recall...

I'm sure the vast majority of Bush-supporters and opponents are saddened by the bloodshed in Iraq. But Bush is still a tool. In Bizarro World, Saddam had billions of dollars and thousands of people working on clandestine weapons programs in the recent past. In reality, Saddam invested billions of dollars in weapons programs that were largely destroyed by the Gulf War, UN inspections throughout the 90s, and US/UK airstrikes in 1998. In the subsequent years, Saddam presided over a crumbling regime that was a growing threat to emulate the oligarchies found in other Middle Eastern states.

My human feeling is that all those who elected Bush should publicly apologize every time someone dies in Iraq because of the invasion decided by Bush.
Instead we mainly see you defending Bush the liar.
That kinda makes me angry, strangely.

I can only think of 2 people (Red and the other person's name escapes me) who have come out and said "I was for the war because Bush had me convinced of an Iraqi theat of WMD. Since then, I've come to doubt what he said."

Now, I was against this war from the start...not a surprise to most of you. The reason I was against it was mainly because Bush didn't ever prove his case to me. But, it seems to me, if I had been convinced, and no WMD were found, I'd like to think that I wouldn't be so 'blind' as to not begin to doubt what had been told to me.
