In this weeks ad, includes software. Limit 1, no rebate required. Wonder if this is a decent drive, anyone know?

Have you seen these "things" when I first saw them looks like ALL the boxes have been opened and that these have been returned at one time. I wouldn't even take my chances this DVD-ROM.

I bought one last week for 77 with 20 rebate. If any one bought it last week they could get a price adjustment of 8.00 plus tax so the drive would be 69-20 plus tax. So it would be 52.92 for the drive. I bought one last week and when my system sees it on boot up it works great. Unfortuantely, I can't figure out how to "see" it on boot up all the time. I will try to disable the DMA in the bios and I'll see how it works then. I tried switching the drive from slave to master and it didn't make alot of difference. Only seems to recognize the drive on half the boot ups. If I can't get it to work this weekend, its going back. Its too bad because 49 plus tax is a good price for 12X DVD. It also comes with Power DVD software ver 2.55. For 69 plus tax I probably wouldn't buy it. Only the rebate from last week enticed me enough to try it. Just passing my experience on with this drive. Good luck.
