I have a fortron 530 watt PS. iIt has 3.3 @28A, 5.0 @ 40A, 12.0V@18A.
I have a xp200Mobile running @2.2 Gig w/1.575 volt's.
I am thinking of trying to go higher, am wondering how good 18A on the 12V rail is .
I also have 2x512 hyperx 3000.
opinions are more than welcomed
Thanks
Ed
iIf it's decided I need more juice on the 12v rail, how much is enough

I've got 18A on my 12v rail, and it's plenty. You're set enough.

Well, if you've got a 9800 pro or other power hungry vid card you may run into stability issues when gaming. Just try it and see. No need to run out and and spend $80 now on a beefer psu IMHO.

My system runs solid with PSU at 12V-16A. Rig: 2500+ OC 3200, 1G DDR400, 9800pro, 3 HDs, 1 CDwriter.

I have 18A as well, running a Athlon XP mobile 2600+ @ 2.5Ghz with a radeon 9800 pro, 2 HD's, 1 dvd-rom, 1 cd-rw, 5 case fans... working fine, no instability whatsoever. =)
