Hey all,

I'm moving from a 3x2gig kit to a 3x4gig kit, I currently use the ram in my sig; Mushkin Blackline 1600mhz, I run it slower but with tighter timings. This PC is for my audio work and I need more ram to load dozens of 100~meg audio stems into memory.

Should I get another Mushkin kit or would another brand work? I ask because it's about $20 less for a 12gig G Skill Ripjaw kit and I don't OC.

I will be purchasing the ram locally, in a bout 2 hours from this shop here in Toronto; http://canadacomputers.com/advanced_...page=1&sort=3a

I think the Mushkin and G.Skill will run fine together. But you make it sound like your going to 12gb (3x4gb), hence taking the Mushkin out?

Really your going to 18gb (3x2gb & 3x4gb), correct?

No I'm moving from 3x2 to 3x4, I'll be giving the Mushkin to a friend of mine. (In case I to move to 24gigs later).

If the Gskill is cheaper, go for it. Ripjaws is awesome, most Gskill is.
