Seems like a great price!

Is it a DVI Male Digital/DVI Male Digital Dual Link? Do you know what gauge it is?

Thanks,

It's male-male..

The gauge isn't listed, but it is rather robust.. Of course, that might just be thick insulation..
It is gold plated, also..

A comparable cable at Monoprice would be about $10 before shipping (link). So, the RS deal beats MP, even with tax, I am sure.

I got the DVI-I a couple weeks ago with the same price, then I got another DVI-D for my cousin for similar price. If you need DVI-I or DVI-D cables, you can't beat this. Very high quality btw.

The DVI-D that RS has online seems to be single link. I have not checked any local RS store. I was looking for a couple of dual link cables. So, I got them from MonoPrice. Two 10 ft. DVI-D dual links, 28 AWG, for a total of just under $20, shipped. Not bad, I think.

I picked a few up back in September. The cables are of GOOD quality. I'm very pleased with them.

DVI-I has extra pins to transfer an analog signal. Most people will not use this feature when it comes to computer LCD monitors. Plus many LCD monitors only accept DVI-D connectors.

They still had this cable deal as of today, but in store price was listed as $49.99 I mentioned the 12.99 online price and they begrudgingly gave it up for that amount.

Has anyone ever had experience using DVI cables that are 25ft long? It is unsuable - I was considering the cables from mono-price. How about 50ft - is that pushing too far? I want this to connect my PC to my HDTV.

I believe there is a limit to the length the DVI cables, 15 Feet is the most, else it will loose signal.

These have been on clearance since September. Probobly a YMMV. I know my local RS is out of them.

That HDTV tuner has been on clearance since September also. Definately a YMMV on that one. I drove an hour to get the last one back in September. There is another thread here in the HD forums about it.

Bout one a couple weeks ago for $13. Very good quality. I still use the one that came with my ViewSonic, moved my PC closer to the television, it gives a bit better x-fer but it's significantly shorter.
