Zalman 1800 RPM and 34 DBA or the Vizo
http://www.sybaritic.co.za/sto..._243&products_id=14893
I personally like the Vizo for the LEDs and plus it is 3 DBA quieter and want sum silence, but seeing how i have a CM690 i need sum serious speed but also sum noise kept down to a minimum, what do u guys recommend, need another 3 12cm fans... Thanks for the help but also was looking at the Thermaltake Highest Performance 12cm and seems that at 2000 RPM its just a noise maker, and also Antec Tri Cools are out of the options bcoz its R150 a fan, thats like $13 i think or summin, its crazy u know... So let me know what u guys think

DBA ratings are not always accurate...especially Thermaltake's. A 2000RPM 120mm fan at 16dB and rated as silent? Get out!! That Vizo fan probably makes more noise at the same RPM compared to the Zalman. It has harder plastics and will therefore vibrate more. If you can find cheap Yate Loons, I would go for that instead.

Zalman is the best fan that vendor has, they do have a blue Zalman if you must but I've found LED fans from the same maker to be generally more noisy. RM might be right about the plastics.

Thanks so much for ur expert opinions guys 🙂 but i do want BRILLIANT air coming in, as i have a coolermaster 690 and strapping it FULL OF FANS, filling all of them and want a good Yate loon but no one stocks them in my country 🙁 and noise is only an issue if its 2000 ROM or more, hence 1800 is the best airflow as well as least noise at that, but if i can find summin that pushes 2000 RPM and keeps as quiet as the Zalman at 1800 i would love that! Bcoz i was initially looking at the Thermaltake Highest Performance 12cm fan and their stats ARE GARBAGE with the noise, 21 Dba at 2000 RPM! OH MY WORD

Regarding the CM fan i have those built in and they WAY too slow, putting the slow fans on the top and bakc to extract the hot air 🙂 bcoz they are REALLY SLOW if u ask me, at 1200 RPM, its ridiculous so yeah, im moving the slow standard fans to the top of my CM690 and the colour fan on the back, took it out from the front and put a 2000 RPM Enermax Enlobal Bearing fan instead over my HDDs 🙂

not all fans are created equal and 1800 rpm with one fan could be noisy and another at 1800 could be relatively quiet. The rated DBAs from manufacturers are not necessarily comparable as the tests are done differently. If you are "strapping it FULL OF FANS",.. I am not sure why you are that worried about DBAs in the first place,... it will be noisy!!! A couple well thought out lower rpm fans, proper heatsinks and ducting does the same as placing fans in every place you can,... it sounds like you want more cooling than noise supression.

I want the best of both worlds and bought her for cooling so yeah man! and fans at 1200 RPM are a waste, from 1600 RPM upwards are the only things i want, and 2000 RPM are just TOO noisy...

I have a similar case to your set up and I run three fans total. Two of them I undervolt to run at 900RPM and one I run at full speed at 1350RPM. They don't make much noise and they move enough air to keep my computer alive...which is the whole point of "cooling." If you really like blowing out your eardrums, I can't help you any further. You can keep the stock fans, get better component cooling, and you'll see better temps without all the damned noise. Running any 120mm over 1400RPM is retarded. The whole purpose of a 120mm was to move more air but not make as much noise as with 80mm fans. It sure sounds like you want your case to sound like a Vantec Tornado.

The stock fans in CM690 are too slow at 1200RPM? I wouldn't say they are too fast either but they're too noisy 🙁 I'm running two of them, the other one is controlled at about 700RPM and the other one at full speed. Thinking about replacing the full speed front fan with a Scythe S-Flex 1200RPM but haven't gotten around to it.

I wouldn't say the CM fans themselves are noisy, there's just some wooshing noise made by air flowing through the honeycomb fan guards on those cases. I'm contemplating modding the mess but the front mesh will still be a continuous source of noise. Running the case with the front panel off actually makes it quieter.

Hmmm but the more COLD air u get into ur system the better isnt it? u must remember i stay in a tropical region South Africa, and in our summer its normal to get 30+ degrees celcius... So i need the best cooling i can, and just want my stuff running as cold as possible, noise isnt too much of an issue it seems in comparison to other guys but im not WORRIED bout the noise level, i care more bout my components operating at the optimum temps

It's also normal to get 30C+ here in my area and I still run stuff at very low RPMs. If you don't overclock and have proper component cooling, I don't see why you would need fans with massive airflow.
