As I was wasting time this afternoon, I noticed this at the local Walmart in Clarksville, TN. Probably not the greatest deal, but for you guys who want it now, I would check it out. I would have bought it myself, but I already have a Ti 4600.

Best Buy price is 249.99 plus they have a 20 dollar rebate. So taking advantage of Best Buys Price Guarantee one could possibly get this card for around $185.00 after rebate

Don't you need a Wal-Mart ad in order to do this?

At my local Best Buys, the answer to this would be yes. If you don't have the ad, then usually the clerk would call the local competitor to check on the price. If the competitor doesn't have the item in stock, then you're SOL.

ARe you sure the walmart card isn't a Visiontek 4200 SE? It just doens't have the DVI connector. I saw it yesterday at a walmart too. I posted someting very similar in the Video forum.

That's a great idea. Can anyone try this? I would, but I'm not very mobile right now. This could be hot - a 128mb 4200 for $185!

Now that I was made aware by Rimshaker that the Visiontek model at Walmart is the special edition version I don't think working out a price match deal at Best Buy will work, for according to the terms of their price guarantee it must be the same brand/model

Never underestimate the stupidity of the people that work at these stores (no offense if one our readers is one of them). I'd bet the chances are good that this could be pulled off if both the Wal-Mart and Best Buy had the Visiontek Ti4200 in stock. The SE part would have to be kept silent by the Wal-Mart clerk. However, this card is too new to think that both stores have them in stock at the same time in the same market. If so, someone should try and take advantage of that lucky opportunity. I live in a big city and I can't even find a decent Ti4400 under $300. Frickin' ATI cards are everywhere here.

** BEWARE OF THE Ti4200 SE **

I just picked one up from walmart just for comparison. Not only does it not have a DVI connector, but it does NOT use the new BGA memory chips, and the hsf is NOT the same as the one where is blows air out thru the sides. It looks more like a Blue Orb, dead serious. The memory chips are just standard TSOP packages (Samsung 4ns). This is not worth $200 and i'm sure gonna return it .... soon :)

If you look at the madonion hall of fame right now the 4600 is #1, the 4200 is #2 and the 4400 is #3. The potential must be there for oc'ing. The reviews all say it has the same features as the others. Just lower clock and memory speed.

I'm sure the madonion score is just because more people are buying the 4200 and pushing it harder.

Madonion

That being said, I would probably go for this ti4400 because the price is fairly close, though not the cheapest I have seen, but the cheapest leadtek. Great cards and overclockers. 237.00 shipped.

Leadtek card

Newegg also has the dual fan one for 5 bucks more

NOT trying to crap on the wal mart price for the visiontek 4200. Check pricewatch, I didn't see a visiontek 128 mb for that price. This IS a good price for the 128 mb version. Especially a walk-in and buy card. Thanks for the heads up erick.

The rebate from BB is not a store-specific offer, it's actually a Visiontek offer. The rebate does not specify a model (SE or not), so can we just submit a rebate request directly from WalMart purchase?
