128MB PC2100 DDR 19.99+tax Staples B&M no rebates,etc.

Just got back from Staples in No. California and there is 128MB PNY DDR2100 on clearance (secret clearance mind you). They price on the shelf is 59.99 but it rings up as 19.99+tax. According to what I saw over on Fat Wallet, it is a national clearance and some stores are actually displaying the price. No limit and if you can get the Samsung TCB0 chips, the deal is even sweeter. Plus no rebates or PM or anything like that.

Thanks! My minimum memory Dell's arrived today and this was just the ticket.

The Staples up the road had two, and now I do. They both have Samsug chips, one has 4 and the other 8, both of them have TCBO on them. I don't know a lot about memory. Why are the Samsung TCBO chips desireable?

Samsung B3 =pc2700

***FYI***:

It's not a secret clearance. If you look on the front page of this week's ad, there's an advertisement for K-Byte 128MB PC100/133 memory for $39.98 - $20 instant savings. The people who did the ad didn't realize that the HP computer it's supposed to come with uses DDR RAM, so they changed the price of the PNY DDR2100 (which is supposed to be a substitute for the computer package). It's secret in that it's not advertised but it certainly is not on clearance nor a secret in that fact.

While it's not a huge deal, getting name brand (Samsung) memory for the price of generic memory is a good deal. Running it in a 333FSB MB would be running it above spec, ie overclocking, which is never a sure thing.

I've been looking around at the local CC shops for the B3 chips and seems someone has scooped
all those up recently with that deal going on. Anyway i was at BB yesterday and seen a ton of
Samsung B0 stepping chips but they had 256 for $99. I was wondering how i would go about
PM those to Staples if i don't have a local staples here. Would it be possible or? Btw CC still has
the PNY 256 pc2100 on sale for something like $40 but without them having the B3 chips it's kinda
pointless.

Got two last night here in Michigan. There wasn't a pricetag on the shelf for the PNY 128MB DDR 2100. They were with the rest of the memory in the locked cabinet. The price on the package was $79.99

I got the manager to scan it...and "the survey says" 19.99! I took all two they had and went on my merry way. Thanks CSMOOTH!!
