128MB PC133 ram for $80, CHEAP??

Used to work at computer shows selling memory for some guy. Even with generic one, the defective rate was very low. As long as you are not planning to overclock it, it should be OK.
 
They are not that bad in my experience. I ordered a 128M stick, a slotket and a floppy from them 2 weeks ago. They charged 9.95 total shipping and shipped quickly. Items were shipped from 2 warehouses. Both came with nice packaging and no problems. The 128M pc133 stick uses LD chips(-7), so do not expect great OC performance, but it works nicely CAS2 at 100Mhz.

My experience with compgeeks, OTOH, were not so pleasant. I ordered starter kit(case, PS, floppy etc). It came quickly. But both the floppy and the PS were dead. Several emails later, still no replies. Buyer be aware.

Are u sure the ram is not oc'able? DulySeeFit and Big Bomb?

What is the chipset in the generic ram? anyone knows

and what about the micron? Did they use 'infineon or mushkin'(something like that) as the chipset.?
heard these 2 is a very good chipset..

 
Like I posted, the generic 133 uses LD chips. The module is rated at 7.5ns and does CAS 3 at 133. It might not work above that though.

Micron is the only major US RAM chip maker. So of course they use their own chips. Micron chips are ok, their PCB is also quite good.

Standard CAS2 pc-100 running at 133 (3-3-3) , 100% solid prime95
same cas2 running 100 (2-2-2) , 100% solid.

LD PC133WAB running at 133 (3-3-3) , reboot before window load.
LD PC133WAB running at 133 (2-2-2) , POST FAIL.
LD pc133WAB 100 (2-2-2) fail.
LD pc133WAB 100 (3-2-2) 100% solid.

THIS MEMORY is either BAD or JUNK!

so i can overclock to 933 or higher,

anyone can suggest me where to buy a quality cpu and ram?
living in Vancouver, will the S&H be a little higher than it post?
 
someone mentioned it sad LD on the chips? If so, that memory is VERY generic.

Stay away from it at all costs. Break down and pay more for real pc133. That crap is all mislabeled / relabeled junk.
 
IMHO, it's gonna be good enough to stick in my k6-2 450 when i sell it to my brother.. all he does is email, chat, and maybe game. But if it sucks, i'm gonna rage. I saw some real horror stories on reseller ratings.....
