I installed this in one of my friend's computer and it was the fastest stick of RAM I had at the time. I'd like to get a hole of another stick and see how it compares to all the PC150 and PC166 sticks I have now. I think it's pointless getting two of these sticks unless they're going in separate computers. Mr Mushkin himself said that 1 stick of 256MB rev2 should be more stable than 2 sticks of 128MB rev3. I don't have the url right here, but I read about it somewhere... I think the article was called "The Birth of Mushkin rev3" or something. If anyone is more familiar with this article please post it up and give your opinion.
Anyway, if what Mr Mushkin said about his own RAM is true, these 128MB rev3's use the same exact chips that he puts in the 256MB rev2's... there are just half as many of them... (128mb have chips on only one side where as the 256mb sticks have chips on both sides). It would be $1 cheaper to get both of these 128's versus the 256 stick, but I still don't think it's worth it unless you just want to run one of the sticks as fast as possible for overclocking reasons.
If anyone is confused, about the rev2 memory here's something that might clear things up. The 64MB and 128MB rev2 sticks use mosel vitelic chips (which are very nice chips, don't get me wrong) where as the 256MB rev2 and the 128MB rev3 both use the same exact Infineon chips. Hope that clears things up.
Anyway, I might be interested in splitting this deal with someone 50/50 so I can get just one stick of 128MB rev3 for $59... anyone interested?
